Our Story
A Sicilian Kitchen in the New Town
Bella Sicily brings a Sicilian table to Edinburgh's New Town — fresh Scottish seafood cooked the Sicilian way, pasta made by hand, and a wine list drawn largely from Sicily's volcanic soil. It's food built on simple, sun-warmed ingredients treated with care, served in a room that feels more like relaxed luxury than formality.
We work with fresh Scottish mussels, clams, langoustine and seabass, and pair the island's classics — arancini, spaghetti vongole, wood-fired-style pizza — with a few Scottish-Italian touches of our own, like our haggis bon bons finished with a whisky sauce. It's a kitchen that respects where its ingredients come from as much as where its recipes do.
We're a short walk from St Andrew Square and Princes Street, which makes us a natural stop before the theatre or a long, unhurried dinner in its own right — either way, the table's yours for the evening.
